Estefan Iatcekiw, at just 20 years old, has been recognized for his extensive repertoire and knowledge, refined technique, expressiveness, and musical brilliance, being hailed as a major revelation in the Brazilian piano scene.
He has won first prizes in several national and international competitions, including the IV International Rachmaninov Piano Competition for Young Pianists (Germany), as well as the award for best interpretation of the composer's work; the Prelúdio TV Cultura Competition in 2017; Yamaha Competition II; the X and XI Profª Edna Bassetti Habbith Competitions with the best interpreter prize for Villa Lobos; Souza Lima National Competition with the Hors Concours prize, Mackenzie National Competition, Young Soloists Competition of the Goiânia Symphony Orchestra, and in 2018 he was awarded 2nd place in the International Santa Cecília Competition in Porto, Portugal.
In 2020, he was awarded at the International Cidade de Vigo Competition in Spain, and in 2022, he achieved 6th place in the Rachmaninov Competition in Moscow, Russia, being the only pianist from the Americas and one of the youngest participants.
In 2023, Estefan Iatcekiw released his first two solo albums, featuring Rachmaninov's works: "Destiny," with both piano sonatas, and "Memories," with the 24 piano preludes.
He has performed in important concert halls such as the Tchaikovsky Conservatory halls in Moscow, the Scriabin Museum in Moscow, Teatro Colón Buenos Aires, Sala São Paulo, Cecília Meireles Hall and Cidade das Artes Concert Hall in Rio de Janeiro, Theatro da Paz in Belém/PA, Teatro Guaíra and Teatro Positivo in Curitiba/PR, Teatro Vermelhos in Ilhabela, among others.
He studied in Brazil with the Russian pianist and teacher Olga Kiun and with Sergey Kuznetsov at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, where he was accepted to pursue a bachelor's degree in piano at the age of 15.
