BIO

Vitorio Scarpi is considered a rising talent in the Brazilian lyrical scene.


He received the First Prize in the Galyna Pysarenko singing competition in Novyi Horod, Russia, the Best Tenor awards in the Maria Callas Singing Competition by Ópera SP in 2020, and in the Linus Lerner Competition (Brazil) in 2021, along with the third place in the Linus Lerner competition in Mexico. He was also awarded as the Best Performer of Chamber Songs in the Carlos Gomes Competition, Best Tenor in the Bixiga Orchestra Competition, and Best Singer in the "Revele seu Talento" competition by PUC-PR.


Recently, he performed the role of Torquemada in Ravel's opera L’Heure Espagnole with the Minas Gerais Philharmonic, was a soloist in Handel’s oratorio The Messiah at the Palácio das Artes, performed as a soloist in the 330th anniversary concert of Curitiba with mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard and the Camerata Antiqua de Curitiba, conducted by Ira Levin, and took part in the production of the opera 'Aquele que diz Sim' by Kurt Weill at the Teatro São Pedro.


He has regularly performed with the Gramado Symphony Orchestra, Jaraguá do Sul Philharmonic Orchestra, and in concerts at the Teatro Guaíra in Curitiba, Teatro SCAR in Jaraguá, and Teatro Amazonas in Manaus.


Vitorio has participated in masterclasses with Piotr Beczala, Angel Blue, James Valenti, and Eric Marggiore. He graduated from PUC-PR (Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná) and studies under the guidance of tenor Alexandre Mousquer in Curitiba.
