Rosana Lamosa, born in Rio de Janeiro, is one of the most important Brazilian sopranos, being recognized by critics and the cultural community, which awarded her the APCA Awards (1996), Carlos Gomes Awards (1998 and 2002), and the Order of the Ipiranga (2010) at the rank of Commandress.

Throughout her career, she has excelled in roles such as Manon, Melisande, Mimi, Violetta, Juliette, Marie (Fille du Regiment), Lucia de Lammermoor, Norina, Gilda, Rosalinde, Anne Truelove, Nannetta, Hanna Glavari, Micaela, Lucy, and the Countess. She also participated in the first Brazilian production of Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen."

She sang "O Guarany" in Lisbon, "Armide" at the Buxton Festival in England, "Rigoletto" in the USA, and performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, the Concert Hall in Seoul, and in China. She played leading roles in the Brazilian premieres of Villa-Lobos' "Magdalena," Claudio Santoro's "Alma," and Ronaldo Miranda's "A Tempestade." She performed for Pope John Paul II during his visit to Brazil and in the 9th Symphony under the direction of Kurt Masur.

Her discography includes the opera "Jupyra" with OSESP (BIS), "Bachianas Brasileiras" with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra (Naxos), "Canções de Amor" with pianist Marcelo Bratke (Quartz), and the "Missa de Nossa Senhora da Conceição" with OSB (Biscoito Fino).

Rosana has been a part of the Curitiba Music Workshop since 2018, as a performer and teacher. In 2020, she coordinated the vocal section of the FIMUCA Festival, the first virtual classical music festival in Brazil.

She holds a doctorate in Musical Performance from Unesp, where she currently teaches.
