Hailed by the critics as the Female Lyric Revelation of 2024, soprano Raquel Paulin is establishing herself as one of the leading voices of the new generation of Brazilian opera singers.
Winner of several competitions in Brazil and Latin America, she has taken part in numerous opera productions and concert performances, including the centennial celebration of the Modern Art Week at the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, where she appeared as the soloist in Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5 under the baton of Roberto Minczuk.
She made her international debut at the acclaimed Beirut Chants Festival in Lebanon, performing alongside Italian pianist Fabio Centanni.
Her operatic roles include Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail (dir. Jorge Takla / cond. Cláudio Cruz), Niña in Ainadamar (dir. Ronaldo Zero / cond. Alessandro Sangiorgi), Frasquita in Carmen (dir. Jorge Takla / cond. Roberto Minczuk), and Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi (dir. Alexandre del Farra / cond. Ira Levin).
Recently, she has performed with the Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra under Fabio Mechetti and the Campinas Symphony Orchestra under Carlos Prazeres, and made her debut as Musetta in La Bohème and Zerlina in Don Giovanni at the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, conducted by Roberto Minczuk.
A graduate of the Escola Municipal de Música de São Paulo, she studied with Walter Chamun, Laura de Souza, Rafael Andrade, André dos Santos, and Eliane Coelho, and was a member of the Opera Academy of Theatro São Pedro from 2016 to 2018.
