
BIO
Enrique Bravo is a native of Santiago, Chile, and has been living in Brazil since 1978.
In 2023, he made his debut at the São Paulo Municipal Theater as Peri in the opera "O Guarani" by Carlos Gomes, and he debuted as Dick Johnson in Puccini's opera "La Fanciulla del West," with both public and critical acclaim.
He recently made his debut at the Guaíra Theater in Curitiba, singing Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, and at the Vermelhos Theater in the 2022 New Year's Gala concert, alongside soprano Camila Provenzale.
Previously, he portrayed Raul in Carlos Gomes' opera "Joanna de Flandres" with the Campinas Symphony Orchestra and was a guest soloist at the Campos do Jordão Winter Festival in a gala concert with the São Pedro Theater Symphony Orchestra of São Paulo, celebrating the bicentenaries of Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner. He also sang at the opening of the 2018 season of the Campinas Symphony Orchestra, embodying Américo in Carlos Gomes' opera "Lo Schiavo."
He began his career in São Paulo performing roles such as Don José in "Carmen," Camille de Rossillon in "The Merry Widow," and Tebaldo in Bellini's "I Capuleti e i Montecchi."
In 2000, he was invited by conductor Luiz Fernando Malheiro to participate in the IV Amazonas Opera Festival, permanently relocating to Manaus, where he has taken part in concerts, grand outdoor performances, and recitals. He has been actively involved in the Amazonas Opera Festival, interpreting roles such as Don Álvaro, Lensky, Tamino, Ricardo, Dom José, Rodolfo, Eisenstein, Boto, Jason, Calaf, Dessana, Ernani, and Manrico.
He has worked under the musical direction of Luiz Fernando Malheiro, Roberto Minczuk, Roberto Tibiriçá, Amos Talmon, Alessandro Sangiorgi, Marcelo de Jesus, Emiliano Patarra, Victor-Hugo Toro, and Otavio Simões, and with renowned stage directors including Emilio Sagi, Jorge Takla, Carla Camuratti, Cibele Forjaz, Iacov Hillel, William Pereira, André Heller-Lopes, Arturo Chacon, and Robert Driver.
